Agra Fort 

During Akber’s era, this city became the political and cultural capital of the Mughal Empire. He built several monuments, which include Agra Fort (1573), which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The fort is made up of red sandstone and various mosques, palaces, and gardens are situated inside the fort. This fort includes various features include Diwan-i-aam, Diwan-e-khas, and Moti Masjid.

Even During his son Jahangir’s regime, Agra remained an important city of India. But It was Nur Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir, who was considered a de facto ruler. Itmad-ud-Daulah (1628), also known as the ‘Baby Taj,’ was built by empress Nur Jahan in the memory of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg. The structure is surrounded by a beautiful garden and various courtyards.
