Refund Policy – India Historical Tours
At India Historical Tours, we strive to provide exceptional travel experiences. However, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds are processed for our tours and services. By booking with us, you agree to the conditions listed below.
- Cancellation by the Customer
If you need to cancel your booking, the refund amount will depend on when the cancellation is made relative to the departure date. The applicable refund schedule is as follows:
- 30 days or more before the departure date: 90% refund of the total tour cost
- 15 to 29 days before the departure date: 50% refund of the total tour cost
- 7 to 14 days before the departure date: 25% refund of the total tour cost
- Less than 7 days before the departure date: No refund
Note: Certain tours with special arrangements (such as festival events or peak season bookings) may have different cancellation terms, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Non-Refundable Components
The following elements of the tour are non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Visa fees, permits, or travel insurance
- Non-refundable flight or train tickets booked through us
- Any service fees or processing charges
- Partial Cancellations
- If only part of the tour (e.g., a specific activity or accommodation) is canceled, the refund will depend on the policies of the third-party service providers.
- In case of group bookings, cancellation of a few participants may result in a recalculation of the per-person cost for remaining travelers. Any difference will be charged or adjusted.
- Cancellation by India Historical Tours
We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political unrest, or insufficient bookings. In such cases:
- You will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid, or
- You may opt to reschedule or transfer your booking to another available tour of the same value.
- Force Majeure and Unavoidable Situations
India Historical Tours shall not be liable for cancellations or changes caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, storms)
- Government regulations, strikes, or lockdowns
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
In such cases, refunds (if any) will be processed as per the policies of third-party providers (hotels, airlines, etc.). Administrative fees may apply.
- Refund Process
- To initiate a refund, submit a cancellation request via email or phone.
- Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of receiving the request, subject to verification.
- Refunds will be made using the original payment method (bank transfer, UPI, credit/debit card).
- Amendments to Bookings
- If you wish to modify your travel dates or itinerary, such changes will be subject to availability and the policies of service providers.
- Any additional costs due to amendments will be borne by the customer.
- No-Show Policy
Failure to appear for a scheduled tour or activity without prior notice will be considered a no-show. No refund will be issued for no-shows.
