Terms and Conditions – India Historical Tours
Welcome to India Historical Tours! These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between India Historical Tours (referred to as “the Company”) and you, the traveler (referred to as “the Client”). By booking with us, you agree to the terms mentioned below. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Booking Process and Payment
1.1 Booking Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total tour cost.
- The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the tour departure date. For last-minute bookings, full payment is required at the time of booking.
1.2 Payment Methods
- We accept payments through bank transfers, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other digital wallets.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
2.1 Cancellation by the Client
- 30 days or more before departure: 75% refund of the total amount.
- 15-29 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Less than 15 days: No refund.
2.2 Cancellation by the Company
- In the case of cancellations due to natural calamities, political unrest, government restrictions, or health emergencies, the Company reserves the right to cancel the tour. A full refund or alternative travel date will be provided.
3. Inclusions and Exclusions
3.1 Inclusions
- Accommodation in heritage hotels or 4,5-star hotels, based on the itinerary.
- Daily breakfast and meals as specified.
- Entry fees for historical monuments and museums, based on the package.
- Guided tours with certified local historians.
- Transportation in air-conditioned vehicles.
3.2 Exclusions
- International/domestic flights or train tickets (unless specified).
- Travel insurance, personal expenses, and gratuities.
- Any additional activities or excursions not mentioned in the itinerary.
- Visa fees or other government-imposed charges.
4. Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, cancellations, and loss of personal belongings.
5. Responsibilities and Liability
5.1 Company Liability
India Historical Tours is responsible for ensuring that the travel services are arranged as promised. However, the Company is not liable for:
- Delays or changes caused by natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trip.
- Any injury or illness that occurs during the tour.
5.2 Client Responsibilities
- The Client is responsible for providing valid travel documents, such as passports, visas, and government-issued IDs.
- The Client must follow the instructions of tour guides and adhere to local laws and customs.
- The Client will be held responsible for any damages caused to hotel properties or transport vehicles during the tour.
6. Health and Safety Compliance
6.1 Medical Conditions and Special Requirements
- The Client must inform the Company of any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or mobility issues at the time of booking.
- The Company reserves the right to deny participation if the tour could adversely affect the health and safety of the Client or other participants.
7. Itinerary Changes
While the Company strives to adhere to the planned itinerary, certain circumstances (such as weather conditions, road closures, or safety concerns) may require modifications. The Company will notify the Client of any changes and provide alternatives where possible.
8. Force Majeure
India Historical Tours is not liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by unforeseeable events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, war, or civil unrest.
9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
9.1 Filing Complaints
- Any complaints should be reported to the tour leader or Company representative immediately during the trip for on-the-spot resolution.
9.2 Dispute Resolution
- In the event of unresolved disputes, the matter will be settled through arbitration in accordance with the laws of India. The courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction.
10. Privacy Policy
- The personal information provided during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of arranging the tour.
- We will not share your details with third parties without your consent unless required by law.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of this agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.
12. Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By making a booking with India Historical Tours, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
